Murder takes place at Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s real-life Randhawa Paradise

Residence for the Randhawa family in the movie witnessed a horrific incident on Monday

In a shocking turn of events, the picturesque Randhawa Paradise, featured prominently in Karan Johar's recent blockbuster film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, has become the backdrop for a real-life tragedy. The sprawling bungalow, which served as the residence for the Randhawa family in the movie, witnessed a horrific incident on Monday evening when a 55-year-old man was allegedly murdered during a wedding ceremony.

Hindustan Times reported that the victim, identified as Ashok Yadav, was the president of Sector 51 Block H residents' welfare association and a resident of Sector 51, Noida. The assailant, reportedly identified as Shekhar from Ghaziabad, is said to be the father-in-law of Ashok's son. The tragic incident unfolded at the Gaur Mulberry Farmhouse in Greater Noida West, where the wedding was taking place.

The roots of this gruesome act are believed to be linked to the ongoing divorce proceedings between Ashok's son and Shekhar's daughter. The strained relationship between the two families erupted into violence, culminating in Shekhar allegedly shooting Ashok twice in the head around 9:30 pm. The deputy commissioner of police, Central Noida, Suniti, confirmed the details, stating that the altercation between the two men led to chaos at the venue.

The irony of the situation lies in the fact that this heinous crime occurred at the same location that captured the hearts of audiences as the fictional Randhawa Paradise in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film, released in July last year, boasted a star-studded cast including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Aamir Bashir, and Shabana Azmi.

As the investigation unfolds, the once idyllic setting of Randhawa Paradise now bears witness to a real-life tragedy that starkly contrasts with the cinematic love story that played out on its fictional grounds.
