Armeena Khan’s father passes away, celebrities come out in support

Actor earlier requested prayers on X when her father was in ICU

Pakistani actor Armeena Khan took to her social media to announce the tragic demise of her father. Armeena shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram account on early Monday, saying, “I just lost my father…Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Illahi Rajeoun. Please, may I request that you include him in your prayers. May Allah grant him the highest of heavens, till we meet again, dad.”

In a separate post on X (formerly Twitter), she commended her father for putting up a ‘brave fight’ in his last days. Earlier on Sunday, the actor had penned a short post on X (formerly Twitter) to request prayers from followers for her father’s wellbeing who was then in the intensive care unit.

Armeena wrote, “Dear followers, I need urgent prayers for my father, please. He is currently in the ICU. I need prayers for his life, please. If you can send a dua (prayer) now, please would you do so? Shukriya (thanks).”

Showbiz celebrities and co-actors have come out to express their condolences under the actor’s Instagram post, with many including Junaid Khan, Sami Khan, and filmmaker Bilal Lashari penning a prayer in the comments.

Kubra Khan also shared her sorrow and said, “So sorry babe… Sending love to you and all the prayers for your father. May Allah grant him the highest rank in Jannah.” She was joined by Ayesha Omar and Anoushey Ashraf who relayed their ‘deepest condolences’, with the former sending Armeena ‘love and strength’.

Hina Khawaja Bayat articulated her prayers in a long, tender note, commenting, “My deepest condolences to you and your family, Armeena. Duaas (prayers) and Fateha for your father. May Allah Ta'ala grant him maghfirat (pardon) and a beautiful abode in Jannat-ul-Firdaus. Aameen.”

“The loss, the vacuum is huge and no one can ever fill that but remember this is temporary.... as long as we earn our place by pleasing our Creator, He will reunite us with our loved ones in our eternal lives... That will be our Jannat,” the veteran actor offered a hopeful commiseration.
