ISLAMABAD:

Additional District and Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar, who sentenced PTI Chairman and former premier Imran Khan in the Toshakhana reference, has been appointed as Special Court (Central II) Islamabad judge.

The Ministry of Law and Justice issued a notification in this regard.

The notification stated that Dilawar had been appointed as Special Court (Central II) judge on deputation basis for a period of three years. He would assume charge of his duties from Tuesday (today) and will be based at the Islamabad Judicial Complex.

Sources maintained that a new courtroom had been prepared for Dilawar at the Judicial Complex. Earlier, there was only one court of special judge central at the Judicial Complex.

It was further stated that Dilawar would hear cases pertaining to FIA and cybercrime.
