Adab Festival concludes

KARACHI:

The fifth Adab Festival, held at Habitt City, concluded its literary and intellectual extravaganza on its second and final day, leaving attendees enriched with ideas and a heightened cultural awareness.

The festival showcased a variety of literary activities, including book launches, panel discussions, and performing arts events, along with an innovative open mic session allowing audience members to express themselves freely.

The day commenced with an engaging interview featuring Ambassador and Additional Foreign Secretary Mumtaz Baloch conducted by Sarmad Ali. Following this, a discussion on "The Reality of Artificial Intelligence" took place, exploring the implications of AI with Syed Irfan Hyder, Rabeel Waraich, Bina Shah, and Umer Khan as the moderator.

A significant discussion titled "Human Sciences Education in the Anthropocene" led by Muhammad Haris, Shama Dossa, and Anum Asi, delved into the role of education in addressing contemporary issues, environmental sustainability, and social justice.

Various sessions explored themes such as the modern role of schools in shaping responsible citizens, breaking stereotypes in the humanities, and the significance of Mushairas in Pakistani society. Another session compared social media and traditional media, featuring speakers Shahab Rizvi, Sarmad Ali, and Bilal Ahmad Memon.
