Race between buses claims woman’s life
A race between two buses on Jhumra Road claimed the life of a woman, while her husband was injured and admitted to the hospital. Millat Town Police took possession of the body and started investigations.
On Saturday, the drivers of the two buses were racing on Jhumra Road within the area of Millat Town police station. In their recklessness, they hit Tariq and his wife Razia Bibi who were riding a motorcycle in front of them. The couple sustained severe injuries and were admitted to Allied Hospital after receiving medical assistance at the scene. Razia succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Police took possession of the body and started searching for the absconding bus drivers.

Meanwhile, at least 16 people were killed and 1,379 were injured in 1,229 Road Traffic Crashes reported across all districts of Punjab during the past 24 hours.
