Ex-MNA’s son among 6 booked over oil theft

Accused allegedly stole oil from a private company

A case has been registered against six suspects, including the son of late former MNA of Muslim League-Nawaz, for oil theft from a private company. Police detained the property owner and started the investigation process.

Mohammad Rafiq, an assistant security officer of the oil company filed a case with Millat Town police station which contended that Amir Hamza, son of Salamat Ali, rented out his property to Roshan Ali Khan, the son of ex-MNA Rajab Ali Khan. It was on this property that the accused built a facility to conduct oil thefts.

Roshan and his other accomplices allegedly dug a 200-foot long tunnel and stole hundreds of thousands of rupees of oil, damaging the public treasury. When the oil company team reached the factory, they found an earthen tunnel leading to the facility and oil stolen by attaching a clamp to the main line. Police registered a case under 379-462B PPC against six accused, including two named accused and started the investigation by taking property owner Amir Hamza into custody.
