MILAN: Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder claims Jose Mourinho told him to stay at the San Siro and reject a move to Manchester United. Mourinho, now manager at Real Madrid, played a pivotal role in grooming Sneijder as a playmaker of the all-conquering Inter side which won the Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia treble in 2009-10. The Dutch international also revealed that the Real Madrid coach played a very important role in his decision to stay on at Inter Milan. “Mourinho called me and he told me to stay. He has an Inter heart and he has always told me to remain,” said Sneijder, who admitted that he was in contact with United during the summer transfer window.
