Nobody’s bloody business: Reham Khan rubbishes divorce rumours
In an Instagram video, Reham Khan, the British-Pakistani journalist and former wife of PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, voiced her displeasure against the swirling rumours of her alleged divorce. Sitting beside her husband, Mirza Bilal, the couple recorded a video to put an end to the ongoing speculation.
Reham started the video by categorically denying the divorce claims. “If I get married 12 times or get divorced 12 times, it’s no one’s business,” she said in the video.
Reham insisted that their marital status was no one's concern and added, "Whether I get married and divorced twelve times, it's not anyone's business. Frankly, I don't give a damn,” she could be seen saying in the video.
The former anchor expressed her frustration at the invasive nature of rumours and cautioned those perpetuating them to refocus their energy elsewhere. She stated, "My married life is none of anyone's bloody business. If only you could dedicate the same amount of attention to your own lives, your careers, your children, or even your sister's marriage, the world would be a much better place."
She went on to emphasize her point by using a strong metaphor, referring to the rumour-mongers as "this party," hinting at their invasive and intrusive nature.
With her husband beside her, Reham didn't hold back. With a touch of sarcasm, she addressed the gossipmongers, asserting that their demanding personal lives left no room to bother with such trivial rumours. Reham continued, making it clear that the sleep of this gossip mill had been affected by the couple’s marriage, but they themselves would continue to have blissful nights of rest, undisturbed by the cacophony of gossip.
Her husband, too, chipped in with his thoughts, addressing anyone whose sleep may have been spoiled by their union. He calmly encouraged them to sleep and offered assurance that those who may have worried need not remain concerned. His message was clear: they didn't require anyone’s unsolicited opinions.
Reham tied the knot with Bilal last year in December in what was her third marriage. She first tied the knot in 1993 to Ijaz Rehman. The former couple then got divorced in 2005. The journalist later married Imran in 2014 and the two announced divorce a year later.
