In a heart-wrenching incident, three underage children –all siblings– were suffocated to death inside a trunk which is used to store flour in homes. The incident occurred in the Shah Khalid Colony area of the Airport police station on Saturday. According to sources, the children were alone in the house at the time of the incident as their parents had gone out for some work.

As soon as they came back, they noticed the children were missing.

The children were later found to be inside the flour trunk in an unconscious state. Rescue teams shifted the lifeless bodies of the victims to the Benazir Bhutto General Hospital.

According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, it was reported that three children got stuck in the flour trunk while playing and became unconscious due to suffocation. On receiving information, rescue teams arrived at the spot and immediately performed CPR on the children before rushing them to the hospital, but they could not survive.

The deceased children were identified as seven-year-old Faria, six-year-old Saira and two-year-old Zohan. The news of their death sent their parents into a state of shock while the area residents were also deeply saddened by the tragic incident. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
