Early completion to boost youth on global sports stage

KARACHI:

City Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Friday announced the reconstruction of Bakhtiari Youth Centre, allocating Rs600 million for a world-class cricket ground and football stadium.

The announcement was made during his visit to Bakhtiari Youth Centre in North Nazimabad. He said that the initiative aims to revitalise sports in District Central and nurture future cricket stars.

Completion ahead of schedule is expected to elevate the youth onto the global sports stage. Addressing the event, he emphasised the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) commitment to non-critical and unbiased politics.

Encouraging collaboration among parties, Wahab asserted that it is the responsibility of everyone to serve the city.

Speaking of the importance of sports facilities for youth, he outlined plans for pavilions, dressing rooms, digital scoreboards, screens, and floodlights.
