Sharjeel urges ECP to allow work on ongoing schemes

Sharjeel said the attacks in Pasni and Mianwali were a cowardly attempt to weaken the country

KARACHI:

Former provincial ministers and leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sharjeel Inam Memon and Saeed Ghani said on Monday that the Election Commission of Pakistan, while banning new development schemes to lure voters, has also halted the ongoing projects of the former provincial government. The ECP should consider its decision seriously and impose restrictions on new projects according to the code of conduct.

While talking to the media at Bilawal House on Monday, Sharjeel said the attacks in Pasni and Mianwali were a cowardly attempt to weaken the country, which were condemned by PPP’s Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto.

He said that the stock exchange was going up, but the enemies of Pakistan made a cowardly attempt to undermine the national progress. “Unfortunately, our people are also included in the toxic propaganda spread on social media,” said. Drawing attention towards Israeli brutalities in Palestine, he said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had united the Muslim World through the Organisation of Islamic Corporation (OIC), “we miss him today.”
