Four road projects to conclude this month

No trees are being felled during the remodeling of the flyover project, officials state

The Bedian Road Underpass, Akbar Chowk Flyover, Shahdara Flyovers and Khalid Butt Chowk Underpass are set to be opened for traffic this month, The Express Tribune learnt on Saturday.

The Akbar Chowk Flyover project, initially slated for completion in 10 months, is on the verge of completion within a six-month timeframe.

According to officials, no trees were felled during the remodelling of the flyover project, indicating the commitment of city developers to environmental preservation.

Commenced on May 26, the project is scheduled to be completed ahead of the contractual deadline of March 25 next year.

Similarly, the Shahdara Flyovers project, on which work had begun on April 4, is set to conclude in seven-and-half-months instead of the stipulated 10 months, with a deadline of January 4 next year.

Furthermore, the Bedian Road Underpass project, which started on August 26, is projected to be completed in two-and-a-half months, far ahead of the initial six-month deadline ending on February 26.

The Khalid Butt Chowk Underpass, officially initiated on September 14, is nearing completion within two months, as opposed to the planned six months, with the scheduled completion date of March 10.
