LUMS: Orientation for new batch begins
The students got a chance to look at the courses and student societies on offer at a ‘departmental fair’.

The Lahore University of Management Sciences welcomed its new undergraduate students on Saturday with the start of orientation week, which will continue till September 6. Vice Chancellor Dr Adil Najam gave a speech welcoming the new students in the morning after which they were given a tour of campus and overview of the undergraduate programme. The students also got a chance to look at the courses and student societies on offer at a ‘departmental fair’. Students and parents got to question the deans of Lums’ three schools at a question and answer session. Other events during orientation week include welcome sessions at the various academic departments, a session on values and ethics, an art competition, a sports gala, a scavenger hunt, presentations from student societies and a talent show.
