Student’s father held for threatening school

Principal summons boy's father due to his behavior despite repeated warnings

RAWALPINDI:

Area residents and locals intervened after the parent of a student along with two others threatened the school and resorted to aerial gunfire to intimidate the school administration in the Bhens Gulyana area of Gujar Khan, it emerged on Friday.

Police said that a student of the local government school had misbehaved with other students. The principal summoned the boy’s father after his unruly behaviour continued despite repeated warnings from teachers.

However, instead of ensuring his child complied with the disciplinary requirements of the school, he along with two others started abusing the school staff. They also startled students after engaging in gunfire outside the school.

Alarmed by the development, locals gathered at the scene and subdued the three men, Ziarat Gul, Ibrahim and Abdul Rehman. They were subsequently handed over to the police after they arrived on the scene. The locals said that they informed the police.

A police spokesperson said that a police party was dispatched to the scene after they received the complaint regarding an aerial shooting outside the school on the Rescue 15 helpline.
