The house of a senior police official was robbed in Waris Khan area on Friday. The unidentified thieves made away with cash and jewellery worth hundreds of thousands, police sources said.
The police have arrested two men based on the homeowner’s statement and investigations are underway. Police sources said that Malik Safeer, a senior police officer, had gone to his hometown with his family to celebrate Eid, but when he returned on the second day of Eid, he found his house unlocked and 17 carats of gold ornaments, Rs100,000 in cash and other valuables were missing.
