Modern approach urged in rabies control

Sindh Local Government Department Additional Chief Secretary, Manzoor Ali Sheikh, issued directives on Monday to extend the scope of the rabies control programme to cover all union councils in the province.

Chairing a meeting regarding the Rabies Control Programme, he emphasised the need to establish more medical centres for dog sterilisation and ensure the fulfilment of veterinary and field staff shortages.

Furthermore, Sheikh called for the expansion of the anti-rabies programme from the seven districts of Karachi to encompass all union councils within the province.
