You have my heart: Saba Qamar lauds Ranveer Singh for being Deepika’s emotional support system
Actor and model Saba Qamar recently took to her Instagram account to share her admiration for the acclaimed Bollywood icon, Ranveer Singh, for being understanding of his wife Deepika Padukone’s mental health.
Saba posted a segment from the popular talk show Koffee with Karan, featuring the beloved Indian celebrity couple as special guests. In the clip, Deepika recounted how Ranveer had been her pillar of strength during her battle with depression.
“I think he understands mental illness today slightly better than he did back then. But I think [it’s] the fact that he created a safe space for me, to be able to be vulnerable, to share, to communicate,” the Cocktail actor said about her spouse.
Moved by this candid declaration, Saba appreciated Ranveer for offering genuine care and support with the words, 'You have my heart,' accompanied by a heartfelt red heart emoji, in the overlaying text.
Saba has taken a deep interest in mental health awareness in the past as well. Earlier in 2020, she created a video called Kab Samjho Gey? for her YouTube channel addressing the rampant mental health crisis. The video recalled various prominent public figures who had lost their lives to suicide in recent years.
The Hindi Medium actor remembered Anam Tanoli, Rushaan Farrukh, Qurutulain Ali, and Sushant Singh Rajput, all of whom sparked discussions about mental health through their tragic deaths due to suicide after long battles with mental illness.
The viral clip is from the eighth instalment of Karan Johar’s talk show. The highly anticipated season commenced with a heartfelt chat with the Bollywood power couple, Deepika and Ranveer gracing the iconic Koffee couch.
