Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar has praised the NED alumni, who are making their mark across the world and excelling in various professional sectors. He was speaking at the 32nd convocation of the NED University at the main campus.
The interim CM was particularly impressed by the wide range of disciplines offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at NED. “I must say that NED is staying up-to-date with the latest knowledge trends, aligning itself with global and national standards,” he remarked.
CM Baqar also found it encouraging to learn that numerous talented people in Pakistan and worldwide are alumni of this institution. “I have been informed that the NED celebrated its centennial in 2021-22, with the participation of diverse alumni from around the world,” he added.
He reiterated his appreciation for the NED alumni, highlighting their exceptional professional accomplishments across various sectors. “I am confident that the NED community will continue to contribute significantly to the betterment of Pakistan. This country needs individuals like you,” he said.
CM extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the graduating students, expressing hope that they would go on to achieve success globally, bringing pride to their parents, alma mater, and the nation.
Earlier, the chief minister distributed degrees to the top performers and congratulated them and their parents, wishing them the best in their future endeavors. The event was also attended by Governor Kamran Tissori, NED’s Vice-Chancellor Dr Sarosh Lodhi, faculty members, parents of the graduating students, and other distinguished guests.
