Police are pursuing other suspects in the case through raids

LAHORE:

A man nominated in the murder of five people in Chung has been apprehended in Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to SSP Investigations Lahore Anoush Masood, the arrested person has close familial ties to the deceased victims and is currently under interrogation.

Police are pursuing other suspects in the case through raids. Three days prior, unidentified assailants fatally shot five individuals, including three biological brothers, their cousin, and an employee, while they were at their dera.

A six-year-old child sustained bullet wounds in the same incident.

Masood expressed confidence that the police would soon arrest the remaining accused individuals.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old university student, Abdullah Jaan, was fatally shot following a minor altercation in Haloki.

Jaan, who had just attended a friend’s birthday party, was on his way home when he became involved in a brawl with his neighbor, Sibtain, near his residence.

Harsh words were exchanged, and the suspect ultimately shot Jaan.
