Police catch six suspects in various shootouts

KARACHI:

Police claimed to have arrested six suspected robbers in predawn encounters on Thursday.

Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) arrested Muhammad Hattam Hakeem, 33, from the remits of Saudabad police station after a shootout.

Police recovered a stolen bike, pistol, cash, and cell phone from the suspect.

Another AVLC team arrested Jahangir Mansoori in injured condition after a shootout in Gadap Town.

MAnsoori, riding a stolen bike, had opened fire on the police to escape arrest.

Meanwhile, Docks police arrested 22-year-old Faisal and recovered a pistol, stolen mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle.

Separately, the Kalri police caught Naeem Khaskheli with a loaded pistol, a hand grenade, a mobile phone, cash, and other stolen items. He is a member of the Baba Ladla group of Lyari.

In another shootout with Bahadurabad police, 25-year-old Muzamil Ahmed and 27-year-old Ali Muhammad were arrested in injured condition after a shootout.
