Watch: Five years on, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone unveil emotional wedding video

In 2012, Deepika Padukone appeared on Simi Garewal's talk show. In the said show, the actor, who was still reeling from an infamous heartbreak at that time, was foretold of her love life by a tarot card reader. Much to the Pathaan star's surprise, who had no intentions of settling down any soon, Munisha Khatwani said that the person Padukone would marry would be intelligent, educated, and “adore the floor she will walk on.”

Enter Ranveer Singh.

Padukone goes on, "When all the ceremonies were done, something changed. Suddenly, there's a sense of belonging, there's a sense of responsibility, it just makes all of this really solid. You just feel complete." The Jawan actor then smiles and adds, "Yeah, complete. That's the right word."

The Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani connection

Adding on, the videographers comment, "Set against the stunning backdrop of Como, The Wedding Filmer had the distinct honour of encapsulating the magical union between Bollywood’s icons, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Karan Johar tears up

The couple's dreamy wedding also had Johar tearing up. The video was full of happy and loved-up moments, and by the end of it, the filmmaker was seen getting emotional. He said, “God! My heart is full."

The filmmaker admitted that while he was extremely happy that the couple found each other, he couldn’t help but feel lonely at the same time. “I am not in a relationship and I am kind of single. It just makes me feel like what I am losing out on not being in one,” said Johar.

He further added that he is aware the couple's relationship isn’t easy, given that they are such huge Bollywood stars and the world’s gaze is on them. “You two make it seem like it's pure. And it seems like it's coming from a place of truth. And that's everything,” he said.

Many took to social media and sang praises of Singh and Padukone for being the absolute embodiment of love and commitment. "Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are the definition of soulmates. I don't make the rules," a user shared on X.
