Conspiracies afoot to divide Ummah: Ashrafi
Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Pakistani Diaspora in the Middle East and Islamic Countries Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi on Monday asserted that there are conspiracies afoot to divide the Ummah concerning the issue of Palestine.
Speaking to the media accompanied by Ulemas and Mashaikhs, he expressed that Pakistan Army took pride in the nation.
He commended Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir for his resolute support for the Palestinian people, which he regarded as a heartfelt expression of solidarity with Palestine.
Ashrafi, who also serves as the chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, highlighted the world's growing awareness of the dual standards maintained by the European countries, the United States, and the United Kingdom in matters related to children.
He criticised the deafening silence in response to the tragic killing of children in Gaza.
Ashrafi urged the US, the UK, and European nations not to jeopardise global peace for the sake of their affiliation with Israel, warning that if the flames in Gaza were not extinguished, they could spread worldwide.
