Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, while attending as the chief guest the inaugural "Master Convocation Ceremony" at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) on Monday, highlighted the imperative nature of education, emphasising that it is not a choice but a fundamental necessity, according to the military's official statement.

Gen Munir, who also holds the position of Chairman of the NUST Board of Governors, conferred medals upon those students who had achieved distinction, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

In his address to the graduating students, General Munir underlined that this moment signifies the commencement of a new chapter in their lives, signifying a substantial change that calls for greater responsibility.
