PESHAWAR:

Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC), Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, has raised a critical issue regarding individuals who were voluntarily handed over to law enforcement agencies by their own relatives, with the expectation that they would face due legal processes but have since disappeared.

He highlighted a distressing scenario where a father entrusted his son to law enforcement agencies, and now the son is missing. This raises questions about who will ensure justice for individuals in such situations.

Justice Khan suggested that for those individuals who are not in the custody of law enforcement agencies, their relatives have the option to file a First Information Report (FIR) with local police stations. The issue of missing persons has lingered in the courts for several years.
