PML-N workers depart for Lahore today

Party insiders have confirmed the completion of plans for these convoys

RAWALPINDI:

At least six convoys of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers and leaders will embark on a journey from Rawalpindi via motorway to Lahore to extend a warm welcome to Mian Nawaz Sharif, their convicted party supremo returning home from London. Prior to their departure, the dedicated workers will be served a lavish breakfast by senior PML-N leader and former senator, Chaudhry Tanveer Khan.

The convoys, originating from various points across the city and cantt, will convene at Karnal Sher Khan Road near Stadium Road before commencing their journey to Lahore at 11 o'clock.

Party insiders have confirmed the completion of plans for these convoys, which are intended to celebrate Mian Nawaz Sharif's return home and his participation in the Minar-e-Pakistan gathering. Lists containing the names of the participating workers including women have also been compiled.

Numerous large convoys will set out from six different locations within Rawalpindi city to partake in the Lahore gathering. The workers from Chaklala Cantt and its surroundings will commence their journey from Daniyal Palace, led by Chaudhry Tanveer Khan and Daniyal Chaudhry.
