Emerging calligraphers’ work on display
The Punjab Council of Arts orchestrated an art collection featuring the exquisite artistry of emerging Islamic calligraphers.
More than 80 artworks of calligraphy were displayed in the exhibition which comprised artworks of Quranic verses, names of Al-Hasna and names of Prophets.
The event saw the honourable presence of Major (R) Aamir and Naheed Manzoor, who graced the occasion as esteemed chief guests.
During the event, Major (R) Aamir said, "All creations in existence are a testament to the attributes of the Almighty. Everything that exists between the boundless expanse of the earth and sky is a divine creation of Allah." He further linked the exhibited works of art to a genuine portrayal of nature's essence.
He remarked that artists have adeptly encapsulated the splendour of nature through their use of colours. Colours, he emphasised, transcend linguistic barriers, possessing a unique language of their own.

He underscored the consistently constructive role that artists play within society.
He advocated for the nurturing of artistic interests among the youth, alongside their conventional education, to foster a well-rounded development.
On the other hand, Naheed Manzoor highlighted that the art of seamlessly blending diverse themes within an exhibition is an art form in itself.
She applauded the Arts Council for consistently offering a valuable platform to young artists, enabling them to showcase their creations on a global stage.
Furthermore, she commended the exemplary initiatives of the Punjab government in supporting the well-being of the arts and the artists who bring them to life.
The Punjab Government, recognising the financial challenges artists face, assists the Artist Support Fund and One-Time Grants. Director Waqar Ahmad praised the calligraphers for skillfully inscribing Quranic verses into their artwork, evoking a profound sense of wonder in viewers.
