The Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) has formally requested the release of Rs2.10 billion in outstanding funds from the Mayor of the Capital Metropolitan Government. These funds are intended for the payment of salaries and pensions to employees and for covering various operational expenses.

The Chief Finance Officer of WSSP highlighted the company’s financial crisis, attributing it to a shortage of funds. He emphasized that, as per the SAMA agreement, it is the responsibility of the Metropolitan government to clear arrears from dissolved towns to the WSSP.
