LAHORE:

Vowing to abide by the principles, PPP Central Punjab General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza on Tuesday maintained that this was the reason that his party demanded the holding of the elections according to the Constitution and a date from the ECP for the purpose.

He was talking to media after the candlelight vigil held in the memory of martyrs of Karsaz who lost their lives as a result of attack on the rally of former premier Benazir Bhutto on October 18, 2007.

The vigil was organized by PPP candidate for MPA PP-169 Afraz Naqvi, Ahsan Rizvi, Zeeshan Shami and Ayesha Ghori outside the Lahore Press Club.
