ISLAMABAD:

President Dr Arfi Alvi has strongly condemned the massacre of Palestinians at the hands of Israel and urged both the world community and Muslim countries to take urgent action to stop the Zionist state and end the blockade of Gaza.

“Israel has crossed all limits by killing children, women and innocent people. Human history has never witnessed such cruelty and barbarism being committed at a massive level,” Dr Alvi said on Sunday in a series of tweets on X.

The president noted that Israel has cut off even water, electricity, food and medicine supply to the besieged enclave of Gaza, lamenting that the international community has failed to prevent Israel from the genocide of the Palestinian people.

He called upon the United Nations (UN) and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to meet urgently for the cessation of the brutal blockade and restoration of necessary supply of medicines, aid, food and other items to prevent “further devastation and the human catastrophe”.

“Pakistan supports the establishment of an independent state for the Palestinian people that is the only solution to bring lasting peace and stability in the region, " he added.
