Bilour opposes expulsion of Afghans

'Afghanistan has a strong economy unlike Pakistan which has been facing a financial crisis,' he says

PESHAWAR:

Awami National Party (ANP) leader Haji Ghluam Bilour has said that the current caretaker government in the country is apolitical and its only mandate is to hold free and fair elections so it cannot take the decision to expel Afghan nationals.

In a press statement Bilour said that by expelling the undocumented Afghan nationals, hatred towards Pakistan would increase in the neighboring country and it would only benefit India.

“It is an important decision related to foreign policy and only an elected government could take such a decision which will have far reaching consequences for the country,” he added.

“These people left their homes behind to migrate to Pakistan as Pakistan decided to side with the US for a few billion dollars and imposed a bloody war on Afghanistan in the name of Jihad,” he maintained, saying that with the forced repatriation of the undocumented Afghans would negatively affect Pakistan in the long a short run.

“Afghanistan has a strong economy unlike Pakistan which has been facing a financial crisis,” he said.

Bilour urged the caretaker government to reconsider its policy of repatriating illegal immigrants and leave it to the elected representatives.
