Mahira Khan has taken to social media once again to share more details about her intimate nuptials. The Verna actor took to Instagram and shared several pictures from the nights leading up to the big day which included mehendi and a dholki. She credits her close friends for celebrating her union with her husband, Salim Karim.

In the said pictures, we see Mahira surrounded by her loved ones - friends, peers and family - as they enjoy her big day to the fullest. Mahira also shared a banter she had with her. friends when she first informed them about her wedding. "What a good. What a Best," the Raees star penned as she shared a carousel of pictures.

"So when I told my friends about the wedding, I also laid out a few ‘requests’. This is how they went," she added. Mahira revealed she told her friends that she's 'too old' for dances. "Can we not have dances?" Her friends flat-out refused. "No. we have to," they responded and no, they didn't just stick to one routine! Mahira also requested that all of them should 'chill' and not have dholkis before Bhurban. Her request, however, was once again denied.

"As time came close and they all were over every day, I realised they just wanted to celebrate me and us," the award-winning star wrote. "My childhood friends, work friends, my cousins… had seen it all with me - held me when I was down and clapped when I succeeded. I had done the same with them. To these insanely amazing humans, I call family. I love you all so freaking much. Alhumdulillah. MashAllah."

She also added her best friend, too, and made it just in time! "My bestest friend in the whole world surprised me at the Mehndi and I still can’t believe she made it. I love you, my Insia. Always and forever," she added.

In another post, Mahira shared glimpses from her Dholki night. Donning a gorgeous Zara Shahjahan floral lehenga choli with floral detailing and a hot pink dupatta, Mahira looked like a vision. With statement earrings, and her hair tied in a sleek ponytail, the actor looked breathtaking.

Sheheryar's 'pyari Muni'

With many celebrities penning heartfelt wishes for the bride, Mahira's close friend and fellow actor, Sheheryar Munawar's wish for the newlywed took the prize! The Sinf-e-Aahan star, who worked with Mahira on several projects, took to Instagram and shared adorable pictures with her Ho Mann Jahaan costar.

"Meri Pyari Muni," Sheheryar wrote affectionately. "From our first meeting a decade ago when you asked me who I was and what business I had being there (you have a knack for setting the tone in the first meeting) to dancing all night and pouring our hearts out to each other, knowing we both have “halka paits”... 'but Mahira this one you can’t tell anyone' - 'Sherry I'll kill you if you tell anyone - and I mean ANYONE'."

He added, "From having different methods and annoying each other on sets to being each other's confidants and support system on the toughest ones. From competing to be Asim Raza's favourite child to standing up for each other when it comes to everyone else - it’s been a beautiful journey, one I wouldn’t want to be on with anyone else. As you embark on a new journey, here’s celebrating you and wishing you all the love and magic the universe has to offer!"

Sheheryar added, "Even though I’ve shared the wedding stage with you on film so many times and was making fun of people for crying at the mehndi - seeing you walk down that aisle had me bawling. You and Salim both looked beautiful and you both lucked out. Shadi Mubarak Pyari Muni." Mahira responded to Sheheryar's heartfelt post and wrote, "I love love love you. And you know know know that."
