Drunken Fury: Man stabbed 17 times for resisting robbery

A group of men visiting Talamba for Eid holidays were drunk and roaming the streets early in the morning.

A drunk man roaming the streets of Nowahi stabbed a resident 17 times on Friday.


According to eyewitnesses, a group of men visiting Talamba for Eid holidays were drunk and roaming the streets early in the morning. The men tried to rob a resident and when he resisted accused Adnan stabbed Mazhar 17 times and left his body on the road after locals began chasing him. “I was just opening my shop when they beat me up and tried to steal my money, later they seized Mazhar off the street and began hitting him,” said a shop keeper Altaf. Police officials said that the incident occurred near Liaqat Chowk and the accused escaped the scene. Police officials have registered a case and sent Mazhar’s body to the DHQ hospital for an autopsy. Hospital officials confirmed that Mazhar had been stabbed over a dozen times. Locals in the area apprehended two of Adnan’s accomplices and have handed them over to the police.
