Woman held for robbing citizens

LAHORE:

Johar Town police arrested a woman accused of drugging and robbing citizens and ride-hailing drivers.

The suspect booked rides to different locations and travelled with drivers while engaging them in conversation and offering them intoxicating substances.

Victims lost consciousness during the journey, after which the suspect allegedly stole their mobile phones, wallets and other valuables before fleeing. Officials said a recent case registered at Johar Town police station involved a citizen similarly drugged and robbed. Using technical and intelligence resources, the police traced and arrested the suspect.

During interrogation, she reportedly confessed to using the same method in multiple incidents across Lahore, including Mazang and Defence A, as well as in Gujranwala.
