Khadijah Ahmed of Jinnah College for Women secures first position with 1,064 marks

The Peshawar Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has announced the result of FA and FSc annual examination 2023.

According to the result gazette, Khadijah Ahmed of Jinnah College for Women secured the first position in the province obtaining 1,064 marks.

Khadija Azmat Khan of Forward Girls College came in second with 1,060 marks and Muhammad Hasnat Khan of Islamia College Peshawar got the third position with 1,057 marks.

A total of 1,019,648 male and female students participated in the examination of which 104,081 were successful. The ratio of results was 90.4 per cent.

In this regard, the Peshawar Education Board organised a ceremony for the top position holders. Provincial Education Minister Professor Qasim Jan was the special guest.

According to the pre-engineering group results of the Peshawar Education Board, Muhammad Amjad of Islamia College Peshawar took the first position with 1,032 marks, Muaz bin Aamir of Hadaf College Ring Road stood second with 1,031 marks, while Banish Galuna of Peshawar Model Girls Degree College Dalzak Road came in third with 1,028 marks.

The first three positions in the arts group were won by students of the Jinnah College.

Anam Arif got the first position with 1,011 marks, Ibna Yaqoob and Tayyaba Ikram secured the second position with 989 marks and Manahil Farooq of Jinnah College stood third with 987 marks.

In his speech, chief guest Jan said that at present, the provincial government was spending 24 per cent of the budget on education. Along with this, funds were also being released by the federal government, he added.

“I must say that if the work is done well, its goodness should be described and if it is bad, it should be openly criticized,” Jan said. “Hard work is the first condition to get the best education. Education boards are making allegations without proof on the issue of marks, even highly educated people are making allegations without thinking which is not proper.”

Addressing the ceremony, Education Secretary Mohtasim Billah said that all possible efforts were being made to improve the quality of government schools.

“Along with this, every possible effort is being made to restore the trust of parents in government schools.” Meanwhile, Peshawar Board Chairman Professor Nasrullah Khan Yousafzai and Examinations Controller Arif Ali also shed light on the examination results and the overall situation of the board.

The chief guest distributed the prizes among the top position holders.
