IGP distributes cash prizes among CTD personnel

Inspector General Police Punjab (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar visited Mianwali to commend the bravery of the police personnel who thwarted a terrorist attack at PHP check post Kundal. Two terrorists were killed in the counteraction.

Accompanied by other high-ranking officers, Dr Usman Anwar went to Kundal Check Post and was briefed on the terrorist attack by DIG Patrolling Police Athar Waheed.

The IGP lauded the bravery of officials and awarded cash prizes, including Rs500,000 to CTD personnel involved in the counter operation and Rs3 million to all staff at the check post.

He assured support to the family of the deceased constable and announced plans to strengthen border posts, naming Kundal check post after Shaheed Head Constable Haroon Khan.

Dr Anwar attended Head Constable Haroon Khan's funeral, paying tribute to the sacrifice and assuring the family's welfare.

He lauded the police force's commitment and commended the CTD for thwarting the terrorist attack.

Punjab Police foiled a terrorist attack at the Esa Khel Kundal Patrolling post, resulting in the martyrdom of Head Constable Haroon Khan. Over 10 terrorists attempted the attack, but swift police countermeasures forced them to retreat.

In a retaliatory action, CTD killed two terrorists, and one was injured.
