In videos: Mahira Khan ties the knot with businessman Salim Karim
Pakistan's sweetheart Mahira Khan has tied the knot with her boyfriend, Salim Karim. The videos from the Raees star's big day went viral on social media. Khan's manager, Anushay Talha Khan, took to Instagram and shared the star's first look as she walked down the aisle.
Donning a pastel lehenga choli with an elaborate veil, Khan could be seen walking towards Karim. In another video shared by her brother, Hissan Khan, we see the first glimpse of the groom. Karim opted for a black sherwani and a matching pyjama coupled with an icy blue turban.
Once Khan reaches her husband, Karim embraces her and places a tender kiss on her head among the applause from the wedding-goers. The award-winning star had previously confirmed dating Karim in an exclusive interview with veteran star, Samina Peerzada.
Last year, when asked by the veteran actor whether Khan was in love with someone special, the Raees star smiled sheepishly and nodded her head. "Yeah, I think I am in love," the Raees star smiled. When Samina went on to congratulate her, the Sadqay Tumhare actor added, "I don't know, I am so shy about it."
Samina then inquired if she would know the person Khan had fallen for, to which the former VJ had asserted, "You might but he's not from the industry."
Samina then asked the Verna star if she would want to name the person, and she shared that she wouldn't. "This is one thing I would want to protect with my life. I want to protect my child," the Bol actor said, adding, "At first, I wanted to show everyone what an adorable baby Azlan is, but now I've become more cautious. If you notice, you really wouldn't see Azlan's face full front, it'd either be a side pose or a back pose."
Samina ensured her that she had all the right in the world to do that. "I know we shouldn't be so superstitious and I wasn't someone who you would call a vehmi, but now I'm just like I don't want any Nazar (evil eye)," the actor shared.
