Let’s celebrate the virtues of being kind: SRK, Zayed Khan wish fans Eid Miladun Nabi
Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Zayed Khan took to social media to wish their Muslim fans across the world a happy Eid Miladun Nabi. While King Khan chose X (formerly Twitter) as the medium for his heartfelt message to followers and fans on the joyous occasion, Zayed took to his Instagram profile to share a picture of his family along with a small note acknowledging the religious celebration.
"On this day let’s celebrate the virtues of being kind, compassionate and righteous. Wishing everyone a happy Eid Miladun Nabi. Give a big hug to everyone you meet. Eid Mubarak,” wrote SRK on his X timeline, encouraging his 43.7 million followers to take this Eid as an opportunity to reflect on and rejoice in all the positivity around them and celebrate the religious holiday by sharing love with others. The post garnered 1.4 million views, as well as 61,800 likes and 8,000 reposts.
Zayed Khan posted a picture with his wife and two sons and wrote a small note as his caption, wishing his 387,000 followers a happy Eid and praying for God to bless them with His Bounty and endow them with the attributes to counter all challenges and live life to the fullest.
“Hello people. Wish you all a very happy Eid-e-Miladun Nabi. May the Almighty give you wisdom to fight your troubles, the strength to overcome your fears, and bring light and love into your homes,” read the caption underneath the Instagram post that amassed 17,000 likes.
Both Shah Rukh and Zayed are known to be practicing Muslims and are in the minority when it comes to Muslim actors working in the mostly Hindu-dominated Indian film industry.
The duo’s messages of love and strength come at a time when their country, India, is suffering from an overpowering influence of right-wing politics and fascism, which has made it difficult for religious minority groups like the Muslim community in India to live safely and thrive.
