Bollywood has numerous iconic characters. Many roles are created with a certain vision in mind, and, with the right star attached, are launched into an everlasting hall of fame. Whether it's the actor's craft, the director's skill, or a brilliant amalgam of both, certain roles call out to audiences in a way that we cannot explain.

Well, what if those characters were played by Pakistani stars? We put on our thinking caps and came up with a list of seven gifted Pakistani actors who can nail seven memorable Indian cinema roles. Here's how it goes:

Kabir Singh - Gohar Rasheed

Gohar is an acting chameleon. Slowly but surely, he's proven his acting mettle. Therefore, seeing him in an anti-heroic avatar would be an excellent challenge for him, and a much-needed treat for viewers.

Devdas - Wahaj Ali

Wahaj is an actor who can embody mournful yearning with excellence. Throw in shades of grey and hints of aggression and we have a winning combination.

Don - Humayun Saeed

Humayun is our Shah Rukh Khan. The persona, the charm, the wit, the vibes - all of that comes naturally to our local superstar.

Geet - Hania Aamir

If there was ever a role created solely for Hania, it would be Geet from Jab We Met. She could easily essay the bubbly, quirky role that calls for a sombre reality check in the second half. A perfect fit, if we're being honest.

Tara Singh - Hamza Ali Abbasi

While there's no way to visually draw a parallel, Hamza carries a certain heat and passion for action that is inherent to the Gadar character. It could make for a promising crossover.

Prem - Bilal Abbas Khan

The lovable, goofy, adorable Prem, made into a household staple by Salman Khan, would not be an easy weight to carry. However, if there's any actor who can slip into the Hum Saath Saath Hain role with ease owing to his boyish charms and impeccable skills, it's Bilal.

Rani - Iqra Aziz

Once again, this is a match made in heaven. Iqra has played the eccentrically lovable, girl-next-door numerous times and in a style true to the actor, she could add a little extra snap to the Queen character.

Are there any other roles that you think would be ideal for Pakistani stars? Add them to the list!
