Five illegal Afghans nabbed during raid

Karachi resident, facilitating them, also taken into custody

The police have taken action against illegal immigrants, resulting in the apprehension of five Afghans residing in a hotel in Badin. The police also arrested a Karachi resident suspected of facilitating them. The individuals have been charged under the Foreign Act. This action is part of the ongoing government initiative to curb illegal arrival of Afghans in Pakistan.

Sub-Inspector Manzoor Ali Jamali, the Station House Officer (SHO) in Badin, collaborated with sensitive agencies to conduct a raid at the hotel, leading to the detention of five Afghan individuals. Additionally, Amir Khan, a Karachi resident, was also taken into custody during the police operation.

According to law enforcement sources, the detained individuals were identified as Armanullah, Shahidullah , Khalid, Muhammad Alam, and Bakhtiar. These Afghans were found to be residing without valid documents. Furthermore, their criminal backgrounds are currently under scrutiny through fingerprint analysis.

A case has been registered against the arrested individuals under the Foreign Act at the Badin police station as part of the authorities’ efforts to address undocumented foreign residents.
