Safari Park buses collide as child strays on track
A collision occurred involving two tourist buses at Safari Park, but fortunately, all passengers emerged unharmed.
The incident unfolded when a Safari Park tour bus, attempting to avoid a child who had unexpectedly entered the designated route, collided with an oncoming bus.
Thankfully, all the children and women aboard both buses escaped injury. Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad responded swiftly, ordering an immediate investigation. As a precautionary step, the park administration temporarily halted bus services within Safari Park.
He urged authorities to expedite the accident report submission. Amjad Zaidi, the Director of Safari Park, shared further details with the Express newspaper. He explained that on Sundays, the park’s buses provide visitors comprehensive tours of Safari Park.
During one such tour, a child suddenly appeared in front of the bus, prompting the driver to take evasive action to protect the child’s safety.
Regrettably, this manoeuvre led to a collision with another bus travelling in the opposite direction. While the buses sustained damage, the passengers were fortunate to remain unharmed.
