RCB sets Rs1.2b revenue target for FY 2023-24

Following the successful recovery of Rs90 million in excess of the revenue target of Rs1 billion set for the fiscal year of 2022-23, the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has appointed two new revenue superintendents by way of promotion in grade 16, setting a fresh target of Rs1.2 billion for the current financial year.

According to sources, the two former revenue superintendents were transferred to Korangi, Karachi and Hyderabad cantonments. The transferred superintendents recovered Rs90 million in excess of the targeted revenue collection at the end of the last fiscal year.

Ayub Tabassum and Rana Muhammad Saleem were appointed as the new superintendents for Wards 1 to 5 and Wards 6 to 10 respectively after recovering Rs850 million in revenue for the financial year 2021-22 in the RCB and for the fiscal year 2022–23, they were given a revenue target of Rs1 billion. Up till June 30, 2023, they successfully recovered the target amount and an additional Rs90 million in revenue income following which Revenue Superintendent Rana Saleem was transferred to Korangi Cantonment Board, Karachi and Revenue Superintendent Ayub Tabassum to Hyderabad Cantonment Board.

Meanwhile, Waheed Qamar and Inayatullah Khan, who were promoted to grade 16, have been appointed Revenue Superintendents on the vacant positions in the revenue department with a recovery target of Rs1.2 billion for the current financial year.
