Skardu hospital upgraded to 30 beds with high-tech equipment
The inhabitants of Skardu have a reason to celebrate as the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Hospital Gamba on Saturday has been upgraded from 10 beds to 30 beds with all the high-tech medical equipment. The hospital, which was inaugurated in 2018, has been improved through a public-private partnership initiative.
The hospital’s upgradation was announced by the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Secretary Mohyuudin Wani, who visited the hospital on Saturday.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality of services and facilities available at the hospital. He said that the hospital would provide top-notch health care to the locals at a walking distance.
The chief secretary also appreciated the efforts of the hospital staff and the private partners for their dedication and cooperation.

He said that the government was committed to improving the health sector in the region and providing better health care to the people. He said that more such projects would be launched in the future to enhance the capacity and quality of health services in G-B.
