Preparations for jeep rally under way

Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) team visit the city on Friday to make arrangements for the 8th ‘Thal Jeep Rally 2023’. The team, led by event Manager Nouman Ahmed, met with Regional Manager TDCP Ashar Iqbal Malik and Sheikh Ijaz.

A briefing was delivered to the regional manager about the rally and the nature of the work and responsibilities of the relevant departments. Talking to the media, Nouman said that the jeep rally had been organized in the Thal desert for the past seven years, based on the style of the Cholistan Jeep Rally. This year’s race will not only promote sports but also economic activity in South Punjab, he added.

In response to a question, he said that jeep rallies in the Thal desert were quite successful and racers from all over the country participated. Meanwhile, drivers said that the Thal desert was an ideal place for motor racing and they looked forward to participating.
