Burglar killed during daylight robbery

In a robbery incident at a house on Tulsa Road in the Civil Lines area, one alleged thief lost his life while another sustained injuries, as they attempted a burglary.

According to the police, two intruders broke into the house and upon hearing commotion, the occupants of the house raised an alarm, prompting the thieves to flee to the roof of a nearby house.

The residents gave chase, and a confrontation ensued. In self-defense, the thieves opened fire, injuring both of them, after which they leaped from the rooftop.

Tragically, one of the injured thieves succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while the other was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The Rawalpindi police spokesperson stated that the two individuals had entered the house with intention of theft. In response to the perceived threat, the family opened fire, resulting in the death of one suspect, identified as Sharif alias Sharifa, and the injury of another, identified as Zahid.

The police have gathered evidence from the scene and will proceed with the case based on the available facts.
