Motorcycling: Stoner looks to secure title
He now holds a 44-point lead over reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo.
MISANO:
Australian Casey Stoner is looking to move a step closer to securing his second world championship title by picking up his eighth win of the season at tomorrow’s San Marino Grand Prix. The 25-year-old has been the stand-out rider of the season winning seven of the 11 Grand Prix to date. He now holds a 44-point lead over reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo at the top. It is enough for Stoner now to play safe and shadow Lorenzo through the final six races.
