Rawalpindi prepares to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi
With the beginning of the holy month of Rabiul Awwal today [Monday], preparations to celebrate the Eid Miladun Nabi, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), with enthusiasm have started in the garrison city like the rest of the country.
The Milad committees have called meetings to take out a procession on the occasion of the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, which is falling on September 29, by reciting durood-o-salaam, naat recitation and decorating the streets of the city with lamps.
Love and devotion to the Holy Prophet (pbuh) will be expressed through house-to-house lighting, naat recitation and durood and salam.
The Milad committees have assigned the responsibilities to their representatives to liaise with the administration and related institutions regarding cleaning, installing street lights and decorating the routes on the designated routes of the 12th Rabiul Awwal processions in the garrison city. Over 200 Milad committees in the city will start preparations to celebrate the occasion in a grand manner.
Central Milad Committee President Malik Akhtar Ali, General Secretary Bashir Butt, Central Seerat Committee President Sheikh Azam Khursheed, Central Milad Seerat Committee President Nadeem Sheikh and the leaders of the Central Milad Committee in Cantt Amir Siddiqui have started making arrangements for naat recitations and distribution of food and beverages to the participants of the Milad processions and to organise lighting in every street of the neighbourhood.
In this regard, the committees involved in the main procession will be informed about the route and discipline of the procession.
Anjuman Ghulaman-e-Mustafa Chairman, Haji Muhammad Aleem Arain, has formed his teams in connection with the Milad committees that make arrangements for the processions of Eid Miladun Nabi, and deliver flowers, food and prizes to the naat reciter at each stage.
