Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a forecast on Sunday, indicating that Karachi is set to experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms starting from Monday evening or night, with intermittent showers expected to persist until Wednesday, Express News reported.
According to the met office’s early warning centre, moderate monsoon winds are entering east Sindh, due to which rain is expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas and Sanghar districts from today to September 20.

“Rain with wind and thundershower is expected in Islamabad, Pothohar region, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, northeast Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next 12 hours,” it said.
This year's monsoon season has been notably drier in comparison to previous years. Nevertheless, Karachi has enjoyed a pleasant climate for over a month, thanks to the cool breeze mitigating the impact of humidity.
