Scattered showers turn weather pleasant

Highest rainfall recorded at 20mm in Saddar Town, current spell to persist till July 26

The monsoon system entering eastern Sindh through the Arabian Sea via the Indian state of Gujarat caused light to moderate rainfall on Sunday. Some areas experienced heavy showers as well, with the highest rainfall of 20 millimeters recorded in Saddar Town. The rainy spell is expected to continue until July 26, and the temperature stayed at 36.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Different regions of Sindh experienced varying levels of rainfall due to the system’s influence. Some areas received light to moderate showers, while others experienced heavy downpours accompanied by strong winds. The rainfall provided some relief from the heat in various parts of the city.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall during the three-hour period in the city was recorded in Surjani Town with 20 millimeters, followed by 10.5 millimeters in North Karachi, 8.7 millimeters in Orangi Town, 7.2 millimeters in Nazimabad, 6 millimeters in PECHS.
