Man, wife shot dead in the name of honour
A man and his wife were shot dead in the name of honour in a slum area near Korangi Industrial Area on Thursday.
As per details, a lone gunman knocked on the door of 40-year-old Masal Khan, a factory worker, in the slum area near Shaitan Chowk at around 8.30am. When Khan answered the door, the gunman forcibly entered the house and opened fire indiscriminately, resulting in the deaths of Khan and his wife, Kiran.
Upon hearing the gunshots, residents in the vicinity gathered and reported the incident to police. Law enforcement officials reached the scene and transported the bodies to the hospital. Following the medico-legal formalities, the bodies were transferred to a mortuary.
According to Obaidullah, SHO Korangi Industrial Area police station, the couple's children were away at school at the time of the deadly attack. The incident is believed to be an honour-related crime. CCTV footage from the crime scene reveals that only one-armed man entered the house and carried out the shooting.
