18 dead, 700 homes destroyed in Sindh rains
Dozens sustained injuries as 700 homes in Dadu collapsed due to heavy showers.
The ongoing rain severely affected the communication system as well as the railway tracks.
Four villages were inundated as a result of a 30-feet wide breach in the seasonal stream in the Dhani Baksh Sanjrani area of Hyderabad.
96 relief camps have been set up by authorities which is sheltering 20,000 flood victims.
The residents of the Peeru Lashari area staged a demonstration at Badin-Hyderabad road in a protest against non-availability of food aid by the government.
Rain in Punjab
Downpour in Southern Punjab claimed two lives in different incidents of roof collapse in Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar.
The water level in Rajanpur is on a continuous rise putting the city under a threat of floods.
The breach in Qutub Canal has widened further to 60 feet due to flash floods as rains continue in Koh-i-Suleman range.
Many villages are inundated and the administration has not been successful in overcoming the breach so far.
A few villages of Tehsil Haroonabad have been submerged after India released water in the River Ghagra.
Meanwhile, hundred acres of crops have been destroyed in Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Haroonabad and Cholistan due to the rain.
The embankment of River Sutlej breached at Balara Dilawar inundating several villages near Burewala Tehsil.

Just for one month, forget the politics, People of Pakistan, specially from Sindh, to get united for the help of rain/flood hit areas. Our Sindhi brothers/sisters in interior Sindh, await for our help/support.
No help for Sindh's rain/flood hit areas by ZM. Now decide, is ZM a real Hero or Zero for Sindh's people to help at this crucial time???.
We've had very heavy rains and hundreds of thousands of acres of crop is destroyed and thousands have become homeless. We have no aid or camps or government or private help. I'm from Khipro
